BOELTER ATTORNEYS SEEK GAG ORDER ON HOFFMAN FAMILY

Attorneys for Vance Boelter are asking a judge to restrict public comments ahead of his state trial. The defense filed a motion Monday seeking a gag order covering Senator John Hoffman, his wife Yvette, their daughter Hope and other potential witnesses. Prosecutors say they do not object but want any order to also cover Boelter and others involved in the case. The request follows Friday’s hearing, when Yvette Hoffman called the proceedings a “clown show” and called Boelter an expletive. Boelter’s state trial on murder and attempted murder charges is scheduled to begin November 2nd.
