BOELTER IN COURT
Vance Boelter is scheduled to make a federal court appearance today (Friday). Boelter is accused of killing Minnesota House Speaker Emerita Melissa Hortman and her husband and wounding Senator John Hoffman and his wife Yvette in June. The mass exodus at the Minneapolis U.S Attorney’s office, including the resignation of first assistance U.S Attorney Joe Thompson who filed charges against Boelter, could impact the prosecution. There are just over a dozen prosecutors left in that office. Boelter was arrested near his Green Isle home after a forty-hour search. He has pleaded not guilty to all charges and his defense is requesting more time to review evidence. There is a pretrial hearing in May.
