Brian Thunstedt, age 45 of Willmar, Minnesota, passed away on Wednesday, May 6, 2026.

Visitation for Brian Thunstedt will be held Friday, October 2, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at Zion Lutheran Church in Appleton, MN.

Funeral services for Brian Thunstedt will be at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, October 2, 2026, at Zion Lutheran Church in Appleton, MN.

Burial will be in Wergeland Cemetery in Porter, MN.

Brian Todd Thunstedt was born October 8, 1980, in Willmar, Minnesota, the son of Bruce and Betty (Christianson) Thunstedt. He was baptized on December 14, 1980, at Eagle Lake Lutheran Church in Willmar. Brian attended school in Willmar and received his GED. He worked in the restaurant industry as a dishwasher. Brian was involved in The Fortress in Willmar and Second Harvest Church in Willmar. He enjoyed playing pool and collecting baseball cards.

Brian is survived by his children: Alexus (Jay) Nguema of Roseville, MN, Isaiah Windorski of Fargo, ND, Ethan Windorski of Fargo, ND, Elijah Windorski of Brainerd, MN, McKayla Thunstedt of Bird Island, MN, Mariyah Thunstedt of Bird Island, and Brian Thunstedt, Jr. of Bird Island; granddaughter: Alayah Nguema; mother: Betty Chavarria; father: Bruce Thunstedt; brother: Bradley (Robyn) Thunstedt of Willmar: sister: Shannon (Jay) Dunks of Bird Island, MN; nephews: Ashton Dunks and Jaden Olsen; nieces: Abigail (Jessie Engler) Betker and Emma Thunstedt; and godmother: Ruby Lokken.

He was preceded in death by his stepdad: Candelario Chavarria; uncles: Barry Lokken and Edward Christianson; and aunt: Barbara (Troy) Walton.
