BROWN COUNTY HIGHWAY DEPARTMENT APPLYING HERBICIDE TO RIGHT-OF-WAY COUNTY ROADS TO CONTROL NOXIOUS WEEDS
The Brown County Highway Department will be applying herbicide to the right-of-way County roads to control the growth of noxious weeds. The chemicals used require the treated road ditch not be cut for hay for 14 days. You are asked to call the Highway Department at 507-233-5700 to find out when a road ditch has been treated. If you don’t want to have a specific road ditch sprayed you need to complete a non-spray application which can be contacting the Highway Department or printing and completing the form of the Brown County website a www.browncountymn.gov under departments/highway/permits. You are asked to return that form by May 15 to the highway department. If you don’t respond, the highway department will assume it is acceptable to spray.
