BUTTERFIELD MAN KILLED IN WATONWAN COUNTY CRASH
A Butterfield man was killed in a crash between a Ford Bronco and a semi Saturday morning in Watonwan County. The state patrol was called at 10:52 am to Highway 60 and 660th Avenue. The Bronco was driven by 83-year-old Wayne Hanson of Butterfield. He was killed. His passenger 83-year-old Zelda Hanson of Butterfield was taken to St. James Hospital with life-threatening injuries. The semi was driven by 43-year-old Richard Sanow of Marshall. He wasn’t hurt. Butterfield fire, St. James police, MCHS St. James ambulance and the Watonwan County Sheriff’s Office assisted at the scene.
