Buxton helps Twins end skid
(Washington, D.C.) — Byron Buxton his a pair of home runs as the Twins slammed the Nationals 10-0 in D.C. Jose Miranda and Willi Casto also homered for Minnesota as the Twins stopped a seven game losing streak. The win comes off a players only meeting on Tuesday after a 12-3 loss to start the series against Washington. The Twins responded by putting up more runs in the victory than in the first six games slide. Buxton now has hits in each of his last three games since missing 14 games with injury. Joe Ryan pitched seven scoreless innings allowing just three hits and two walks. The Twins are 25-23 on the season and will close out the series on Wednesday with a 12:05 P-M first pitch in the nations capital.
