Byron Buxton Returns to Twins Lineup

The Minnesota Twins have one of their top hitters back in the lineup.

The team reinstated center fielder Byron Buxton from the 10-day injured list Monday. Buxton missed two weeks with a right hip strain after being placed on the injured list July 7th.

The injury also forced Buxton to miss the All-Star Game after he was elected to start for the American League.

Buxton is batting .271 with 25 home runs this season. His point-nine-oh-seven O-P-S is his highest since 2021.

The Twins optioned infielder Tristan Gray to Triple-A St. Paul to make room on the roster.

Buxton returned Monday as Minnesota lost 13-to-4 in Cleveland. The four-game series continues Tuesday night.
