California Wildfires Devastate Los Angeles Area

(ABC News/Los Angeles, CA) Thousands of firefighters continue to battle at least 5 major wildfires across the Los Angeles area as well as several smaller blazes.

Thousands of structures have been damaged or destroyed and more than 100,000 people evacuated.  As many as 340,000 are without power as of 4 a.m. this morning (Thursday).

Los Angeles Fire Captain Erik Scott responded to the severity of the fires saying, “One of the worst I’ve ever seen if not the worst. Yesterday’s winds were the worst I’ve experienced and that is absolutely evident by the destruction.”
