CAPTAIN BIANCHI RETURNS HOME
Captain Willibald Bianchi returned home to New Ulm Friday evening 85 years to the day he left for military service. A plane carrying Bianchi’s casket landed at MSP airport. Saturday, May 2 a visitation gathering will be held at the New Ulm National Guard Readiness Center across from Menards starting at 10 am with a military tribute speech ceremony at 11. A graveside service and full military honors will be at noon in the Soldiers Rest Section of the New Ulm City Cemetery followed by a reception at the Readiness Center.
