Car Accident in Swift County Late Friday Night

Late in the afternoon of Friday, June 14th, there was an accident located at Highway 29 at milepost 34, BENSON TWP, Swift County. The 2013 Subaru was southbound on highway 29. The 2017 black Ford Explorer was stopped at highway 29 and county road 104.

The 2015 Ford Explorer was stopped behind the 2017 Ford Explorer. The 2013 Subaru crashed into the rear of the 2015 Ford Explorer, causing the 2015 Ford Explorer to crash into the rear of the 2017 Ford Explorer.

The driver of the 2013 Subaru Outback , 20 year old Nathan Marshall Holifield of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, was under the influence of alcohol at the time of the accident. Holifield and Lourdes Julia Martinez, driver of the 2015 Ford Explorer, were treated at Benson Hospital for non-life threatening injuries. Kyla Jean Powell, driver of the 2017 Ford Explorer, was not injured in the crash.
