MEEKER COUNTY BARN FIRE

A turkey barn in Meeker County was destroyed by fire Sunday morning.  The Meeker County Sheriff’s Office was called at 9:15 am to a turkey barn fire in the 33000 block of 560th Avenue of Swede Grove Township.  Crews found one barn completely engulfed in flames that had collapsed from the damage.  No injuries were […]

GOVERNOR WALZ ANNOUNCES SUPPLEMENTAL BUDGET PROPOSAL TODAY (TUESDAY)

Governor Walz will announce his 2026 supplemental budget proposal today (Tuesday) at noon.  The governor’s office says his budget will prioritize lowering costs for middle class families while making responsible cuts to keep the state on a fiscally sustainable path.  The February Budget forecast showed the state with a $3.7-billion surplus for the years 2026-2027.  […]

GROVE CITY MAN KILLED IN MEEKER COUNTY CRASH

The state patrol is investigating a crash that killed a Grove City man early this (Saturday) morning in Meeker County.  Authorities ay a Chevy Malibu driven by 22-year-old Eben Laidlaw of Grove City collided with a Ford F150 driven by 22-year-old Joseph Johnson of Litchfield.  Both were taken to Meeker Memorial Hospital where Laidlaw died […]
