CMA Winner List… Including Entertainer of the Year Winner: Morgan “Waylon”

The CMA Awards could easily have been named the “Chris” Music Awards because Chris Stapleton performed a number of fantastic songs and picked up a ton of awards.   He humbly accepted each one including The Male Vocalist of the Year award.

Lainey Wilson was added to the original hosting duo and complimented longtime hosts Luke Bryan and Peyton Manning.   She also performed “4x4xU” and picked up The Female Vocalist of the Year award, thanking lots of people that helped get her to that point including her parents and boyfriend Duck.

A star-studded performance to showcase the lifetime achievements of George Strait ended with George joining them on stage and accepting the award named after Willie Nelson for a career well-sung.   Among others, he thanked his wife of over 50 years as she watched from the audience surrounded by other members of the Strait family.

The one blooper of the night came at the very end when Jeff Bridges presented the very last award- The CMA Entertainer of the Year.   The award went to “Morgan Waylon“.   At least, that’s what he said instead of Morgan Wallen.  Morgan wasn’t present to accept the award so Jeff accepted on his behalf.
