COMFREY COMETS 4-H CLUB GETS MONEY FOR LOCAL COMMUNITY SERVICE PROJECT

The Comfrey Comets 4-H Club received an award for their project “Sewing Kindness in our Community.”  The club plans to sew new gowns for the local mammography department.  The youth will team up with local quilting ladies to learn sewing skills as they are no longer taught in school.  Over 72,000 was awarded throughout the state of Minnesota to projects that Minnesota 4-H club youth who want to turn their ideas into action.  Thirty-six counties were selected for funds and for the third year in a row, Brown County was among them.
