COMMISSIONERS APPROVE HISTORICAL SOCIETY MUSEUM PROJECT BID

Brown County Commissioners approved an exterior preservation project bid contingent on approval of a Minnesota Historical and Cultural Heritage Legacy Grant.  ACME Tuckpointing and Restoration of St. Paul had the low bid of over $275,000 and includes a $95,000 county match which is 29% of the project cost.  Mayor Kathleen Backer submitted the grant request and the board thanked her for the work that she has done on this project.  Brown County Administrator Sam Hansen said the project would start in 2027 and be part of the 2027 county budget.
