Community Members Invited to Mental Health Month Open House in Elbow Lake

Elbow Lake, MN – Community members are invited to join Lake Region Healthcare's Senior Life
Solutions program for an open house at the Elbow Lake Medical Center, 1411 Hwy 79 E, on
Thursday May 15, 2025 from 11AM – 1PM.
“This event is the perfect opportunity for anyone interested in learning more about our program to
come see our space, learn more about the services we provide and meet our dedicated staff,” said
Terri Swenson RN, BSN, PHN, Program Director of Senior Life Solutions. Guests will have the
opportunity to tour the program facility and ask questions while enjoying light refreshments.
Lake Region Healthcare's Senior Life Solutions program is designed to meet the unique needs of
individuals typically 65 and older experiencing depression and/or anxiety related to life changes
that are often associated with aging. The program staff includes a board-certified psychiatrist, a
nurse practitioner, a licensed therapist, a registered nurse, and other trained professionals focused
on helping older adults in the community navigate difficult life transitions and regain their quality
of life.
“We consider it a privilege to help those struggling to improve their quality of life through our
services,” Swenson said. “Sometimes people are hesitant to seek help, or to take the first step to
learn more. We hope to raise awareness and make it easy to connect with us as part of our
outreach efforts during May, Mental Health Month,” she added.
