Connie Lou Lupold was born on July 24, 1940, to McClellan and Dorothy (Foresman) Lupold.
She grew up in Watsontown, PA and graduated from Warrior Run High School, in Turbotville,
PA in 1959. She married David Rohde on July 7, 1961, at St. John’s Lutheran Church in
Delaware Run, PA. Connie worked many jobs while raising her 7 children, from cooking at the
school in Blaine, Hillcrest Café and doing daycare in her home to finally going to Eden Prairie at
GE when her children were all in school. GE eventually became SPAR Marketing, where she
was in charge of payroll for all employees and contract workers for many years, working her
final 10+ years from home after the MN office closed, before retiring at 72. She traveled around
the country for work, even though she hated flying! She enjoyed reading, her animals (dogs, cats
and birds) and spending time with her family. Dad and mom were rarely apart. She did a lot of
cooking and baking for her family. She always made dad her homemade bread so he didn’t have
to make his sandwiches with boughten bread! Always had Lefse for Thanksgiving and fudge
and peanut brittle for Christmas! Grandkids loved her homemade buns and bbqs when they
came to visit.
Connie is preceded in death by her husband Dave, her parents and parents-in-law, brothers-in-
law Jim and Paul, sisters-in-law Lavonne and Sharon and great-grandson Collin Trebesch.
She is survived by her children, Pr. Brian (Diann) Rohde, Deborah (Kipp) Trebesch), Paul
(Shelley) Rohde, Timothy (Pamela) Rohde, Dr. Tamara Polzin, Pr. David (Tahri) Rohde and
Steven Rohde. 24 Grandchildren and 30 Great Grandchildren.
Siblings, Betty (Carl) Snyder and Judy (Larry) McCormick, many nieces, nephews and extended
family.
