Crash Victims Identified
The Minnesota State Patrol has released the names of the two individuals killed in a head on crash, Tuesday morning. The incident occurred at the intersection of Highway 218 and 140th Street in Mower County. The report states, a Ford Transit van, driven by 25 year old Jacie Mae Weaver of Rockwell, Iowa, was northbound on Hwy 218, a 2018 KIA Optima, driven by 17 year old Whin Gay of Austin, was traveling south on Hwy 218. The vehicles collided at the intersection of 140th street. Gay was not wearing a seatbelt. Mower Sheriff, Lyle Fire and Ambulance, Austin Fire, Mayo Ambulance and MN Dot all assisted at the scene.
