DASSLE TEEN KILLED IN CRASH
A Dassel teen was killed in a crash in Meeker County Sunday morning. The Sheriff’s Office says they received a report of a vehicle crash shortly after 3 am at the intersection of Meeker County Road 6 and 746th Avenue two miles west of Cokato. Authorities say a vehicle driven by 19-year-old Elijah Miller of Cokato was westbound on County Road 6 when it lost control, left the roadway and hit a telephone pole on the passenger side. Both occupants had to be extricated from the vehicle. Miller was airlifted to the Hennepin County Medical Center with possible life-threatening injuries. His passenger 19-year-old Nolan Henke of Dassel was pronounced dead at the scene. The crash is under investigation. Meeker and Wright County deputies, the state patrol Dassel Fire and Rescue, Cokato fire, rescue and ambulance, Mayo ambulance and Lifelink III all assisted at the scene.
