Day one of Bassmasters in Northern Minnesota cancelled
(Walker, MN) — Day of the 2024 Bass Pro Shops Bassmaster Classic on Leech Lake near Walker was canceled yesterday due to high winds. The event, which involves one of the top professional fishing series in the country, has now been shifted to a two-day competition instead of three days. More than 200 competitors are set to take part in the tournament, which runs now today through tomorrow. Leech Lake is about 112,000 acres and will challenge the anglers. The public is invited to watch the event, with daily takeoffs from the Walker Public Dock at 6:30 A-M. Tomorrow’s final day of competition will be televised to a national audience on FS 1 starting at 8 A-M.
