DEADLINE TO APPLY FOR DISASTER ASSISTANCE EXTENDED

If you suffered damage from severe storms and flooding June 16 – July 4, you will have additional time to apply for federal disaster assistance.  FEMA has extended the application deadline to October 27 for the designated Minnesota counties eligible for assistance.  The original deadline was September 27.  You can apply online at DisasterAssistance.gov or use the FEMA App on your phone.  FEMA says Minnesota residents have already been approved for more than $15-million in federal assistance including over $11.3-million in grants and more than $4.8-million in long-term, low-interest loans from the U.S Small Business Administration.
