Deborah Marie Shepherd

Deborah Marie Shepherd, aged 71, of Belle Plaine, passed away at her home on May
5, 2026, surrounded by family. A Funeral Service for Deb will take place Saturday, May
9, 2026, at 5 p.m. at Kolden Funeral Home in Belle Plaine with Pr. Janet Warner
officiating. Visitation will be from 2-5 p.m. A luncheon will be served at the Belle Plaine
Vet’s Club following the service.
Deborah was born on May 3, 1955, to William and Audrey (Bennett) ___ in Minneapolis.
She was raised in the Mound area and graduated from Mound-Westonka High School
in 1973. After high school, she worked at a dentist office in Mound, did purchasing and
accounting for Soft Soap, and waitressed at Emma Krumbees. In 2007, she retired and
was able to enjoy more time with her family.
On August 22, 1982, Deb married Terry Shepherd in Shakopee. Together, they had two
children: Dan and Missy.
Deb enjoyed doing puzzles in her free time as well as trying to garden. She loved
flowers but especially lilacs. Above all, she loved spending time with her family and
husband, Terry.
Deb is survived by husband, Terry; children, Dan (Rachel) Shepherd and Missy (Tom)
Willmes; grandchildren, Carmen, Camden, and Cailyn Shepherd, and Leah, Cole, and
Mason Willmes; siblings, Kevin, Mike, Bill, Sharon, Mary, and Patty; and many nieces
and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Tom and Ray; and many brothers and
sisters-in-law.
