Dedication Ceremony at MN Veterans Home in Montevideo

An official dedication ceremony is being held Friday (May 31) for the new Minnesota Veterans Home in Montevideo.

The Montevideo community along with elected officials, civic leaders, Veterans Service Organizations, volunteers, donors, and Veteran Advocates are expected to gather for the ceremony.

Along with the Veterans Homes in Preston and Bemidji, the Montevideo Home at 2190 William Avenue was the first Minnesota Veterans Home to open in the state in 25 years.

Officials say no other state has opened so many homes in such a short amount of time.

The dedication ceremony is being held Friday morning, with the Social Hour at 10am and the Dedication Program at 11am.
