Denver takes game 5 over Timberwolves

(Denver, CO/Learfield News) — The Minnesota Timberwolves failed to put the Denver Nuggets away and lost in Colorado last night in Game Five of their best-of-seven playoff series 125-113. Minnesota still leads the series three-games-to-two with Game Six coming up in Minneapolis on Thursday night. The Wolves trailed by as many as 27 points in the losing effort. Minnesota forward Julius Randle led the team with 27 points, while Ayo Dosunmu finished with 18. The host Nuggets were paced by a Nikola Jokic triple-double. He had 27 points, 16 assists, and 12 rebounds. The Wolves were playing without starters Anthony Edwards and Donte DiVincenzo, while Denver was without Aaron Gordon. There has not been an official tip-off time set for Thursday’s Game Six at the Target Center.
