DONATION TRAILERS FOR HURRICANE HELENE VICTIMS BEHIND GERMAN PARK
Most of us are probably unaware of the hardships many are going through in North Carolina since it was devastated by Hurricane Helene a couple of weeks ago. Katie Rosenhammer of New Ulm along with many others have organized a donation opportunity behind German Park in New Ulm to take things we use everyday to North Carolina because, right now, they don’t have those things. Items like toiletries, batteries, blankets, baby items, warm clothing, hats, mittens, laundry and dish soap, first aid items, canned foods and much more is being accepted. There will be J & R Schugel trailers parked in the public utilities lot behind German Park from 3:15 to 5:15 this week. Next week, they will be taking refer items including potatoes, carrots, fruit, green bananas. onions, lunch meats and other refrigerated items. The trailer will be parked from 2 – 4 pm next week and then a last call for donations will be the final week of October. Rosenhammer says all donations will be going to the South Fork Baptist Church in Todd, North Carolina. The trucks will be leaving November 4.
