Driver Arrested After Pursuit in Renville Co

A Redwood Falls man was arrested after a police chase in Renville County Sunday evening.

The Sheriff’s Office says a traffic stop was attempted about 3 miles south of Olivia near the intersection of Highway 71 and County Road 17, but the driver did not stop.

The chase ended when the suspect vehicle crashed into a railroad embankment near the intersection of Elm Avenue West and 12th Street North, in the City of Olivia, immobilizing the vehicle.

The 19-year-old driver was then arrested with charges pending.

No injuries were reported.
