Driver Injured In Single Vehicle Crash

A Grygla area man was injured in a single vehicle roll-over accident last week in Pennington County. 

Authorities say Michael Jelen was injured when he lost control of the westbound 2009 Dodge Pickup he was driving on Center Street East. Officials say a deer ran across the road, and the driver hit the brakes on ice, causing the vehicle to enter the south ditch and roll at 300th Avenue Northeast. According to the report the vehicle landed on its wheels. 

Jelen was taken to Sanford ER with unspecified injuries. 

Sheriff’s Deputies responded to the crash just before noon on Friday, December 20th.
