Driver Sends Semi Airborne

A Moorhead man was injured after sending a semi airborne Tuesday in Grant County. 

According to the Minnesota State Patrol, Hakar Haval Amedy, (37) was injured when the westbound 2021 Freightliner he was driving went into the north ditch of I94 up an embankment and airborne over Grant County Road 26 in Pomme De Terre Township. 

Amedy was taken to Sanford Fargo and treated for injuries troopers at the scene described as non-life threatening. He was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the accident reported just before 4pm. 

Officials say alcohol was not a factor in the accident.
