Driver Seriously Injured in Sibley Co Crash

A driver was injured in a one-vehicle crash in Sibley County Wednesday afternoon, about three miles north of Winthrop.

The Sheriff’s Office says 36-year-old Jeffrey Albrecht Jr. of Mankato was taken to a local hospital and later airlifted to a Twin Cities hospital for treatment of serious injuries.

Authorities say Albrecht was traveling east on County Road 10 when the vehicle left the roadway, entered the westbound ditch, and eventually collided with a driveway embankment.

The crash happened just before 4:30pm.
