Edwards, Team USA set to get going

(Las Vegas, NV) — The U-S-A Men’s Basketball Team is taking the court for the first time this summer. Team U-S-A will challenge Canada in the U-S-A Basketball Showcase tonight in Las Vegas. This marks the first of five exhibition contests that the team will play before beginning competition at the Paris Olympics on July 28th. Timberwolves star Anthony Edwards is on the American roster. Kevin Durant has been ruled out for the game due to a calf strain that has sidelined him for all of the national team’s training camp. This is the first time the two countries square off on the hardwood since Canada beat Team U-S-A in the bronze medal game of last year’s FIBA World Cup.
