Father Tom Walker will preside. She will be laid to rest at St. Nicholas Catholic Cemetery, in Elko New Market, MN.

Faith and family were the pillars in Eileen’s life. She graced this world on March 31, 1933, in Marystown, MN, to Clem and Cecelia (Pauly) Lenzmeier. Born and raised on the family farm, Eileen Margaret learned the core value of a day’s hard work, which she carried throughout life.

It was through her sister that Eileen met Michael John Wagner. After he returned from his military service tour, she and Mike were married on September 1, 1954, at St Mark’s Catholic Church in Shakopee. They moved to a farm near New Market, MN, where Eileen and Mike raised their seven children, Tom, Terry, Tim, Jeff, Alan, Mary Beth, and Lori. As a family, they worked hard on the farm. Eileen’s main chore was tending to the chickens. She was extremely proud of her huge flower and vegetable gardens. Eileen filled her days canning the fruits of her labors, baking fresh bread and cooking amazing meals for her family.

In 1979, Eileen and Mike moved off the family farm. As they did continue to help with the work on the farm, this did allow them to enjoy traveling with fond memories of vacations to Florida, Las Vegas and Branson. Eileen and Mike were amazing on the dance floor and enjoyed taking their chances at Bingo. In April of 1991, Eileen’s heart was broken with Mike passing away from cancer. She found great companionship in Roman Borchardt. For the next 16-years, they had many great adventures, before he passed away in October of 2008.

Eileen’s dedication to her family and friends meant her home was always filled with amazing food, a welcoming table to sit at and her unconditional love. Eileen loved to make beautiful quilts for her loved ones, entertain and celebrate the holidays with whomever entered her home. This socialization continued after moving into New Perspective Senior Living in Prior Lake in 2021. She became a social butterfly and made many new friends.

Eileen loved taking care of her flowers, baking and cooking. Some of her other favorite things were a meal at Red Lobster, watching the Minnesota Twins, playing Mexican train and a good game of euchre. Eileen was a classy and well-dressed woman. She had a spunky and sharp spirit, a strong-willed demeanor and was very independent. Eileen dedicated her life to the Lord. She had a deep faith in praying the rosary daily and watching daily Mass on TV.

Continuing on Eileen’s legacy are her beloved children, Tom (Joann) Wagner, Terry (Bev) Wagner, Tim Wagner, Jeff (Sheila) Wagner, Alan (Gina) Wagner, Mary Beth (Rick) Kroyer, Lori (Eric Skunberg) Smith: grandchildren, Jessica, Todd, Troy, Kurt, Jennifer, Brad, Kevin, Cassandra, Jacob, Andrew, Christopher, Nathan, Mike, Shane, Kaitlyn, Miranda, Branden, Carter, Aleck, Alyse; 32 great grandchildren; siblings, Patty Kaufenberg, Elsie Foley, Mary Janice (George) Bach, Roger (Jeanine) Lenzmeier; brother-in-law, Ralph Wagner; and many other relatives and friends. Greeting Eileen home in eternal peace is her husband, Michael; grandson, Joshua Wagner; great grandchild, Micha Wagner; parents, Clem and Cecilia Lenzmeier; and sister, Geralda Wagner.
