His family says Donovan squeezed his father’s hand and responded during a neurological examination.
Donovan underwent emergency surgery after suffering a brain bleed during a September 19th football game. Doctors have been gradually reducing his medication while monitoring his condition.
His family says the Minnesota native still faces a long recovery.
