Fargo Homicide Suspect Charged in Mother’s Death

A man arrested in Nebraska has been charged with murder in the death of his mother in Fargo.

Police identified the victim Wednesday as 60-year-old Pamela Mendoza. Officers found her dead Monday during a welfare check at the apartment she shared with her son, 42-year-old Brandon George.

Authorities say George was arrested Tuesday following a pursuit in Nebraska after a license-plate reader located Mendoza’s missing car.

Investigators are still establishing the timeline and exact cause of death. The murder charge is an allegation.
