Farm to School Applications open

(St. Paul, MN/Minnesota News Network) – The Minnesota Department of Agriculture is accepting applications from schools, early childhood education centers, and licensed in-home family child care providers looking to serve locally produced foods. This year, the Ag Department is expected to award about one point three million dollars through the fiscal year 2026. Some of the money will be split with the state’s Local Tots Cost-Share program. Applications must be received by October twenty-third to be considered. Officials say this program is a win-win for both the schools and Minnesota farmers.
