FATAL CRASH IN REDWOOD COUNTY

The state patrol was called to a fatal crash in Redwood County between a semi and a Ford F150.  Authorities were called at 12:35 pm Monday to the intersection of Highway 68 and Redwood County Road 6 in Vail Township.  The semi was driven by a 63-year-old  Steven Pohlen of Redwood Falls  and the Ford  was driven by 25-year-old Morgan Grunewald of Wheaton.  Grunewald was killed.  Three passengers, all four years old and younger, were taken to Redwood Falls Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.  Pohlen was also taken to Redwood Falls Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.    Wabasso Fire and Medical, Redwood County Sheriff’s Office, Carris Health Med and North Memorial Air Care assisted at the scene.
