Fatal Hennepin Co Motorcycle Crash

A Becker man died in a motorcycle crash in Hennepin County Saturday evening.

The State Patrol says the driver, 58-year-old Garrett Dawson, died at the scene.

His passenger, 58-year-old Melissa Varner of Buffalo, was taken to North Memorial for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

The Patrol says Dawson was traveling westbound on Highway 12 from Carlson Parkway when the motorcycle struck the concrete curb and both riders were ejected from the motorcycle.

The crash happened at about 7:45pm.
