FATAL MCLEOD COUNTY CRASH

The state patrol is investigating a crash on Highway 7 at Vale Avenue in Acoma Township McLeod County that killed a Hutchinson woman this (Thursday) morning.  Authorities were called at 10 am to the collision between a Ford Ecosport driven by 77-year-old Audrey Lankey of Hutchinson and a Ford F550 driven by 29-year-old Matthew Alberts of Eden Prairie.  Lankey was taken to Hutchinson Hospital where she died of her injuries.  Alberts was taken to Hutchinson Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.  The Hutchinson woman’s name has not been released yet.  Hutchinson police and fire, McLeod County Sheriff’s Office and Allina Ambulance assisted at the scene.
