Fatal McLeod County Crash

Both drivers died in a two-vehicle crash in McLeod County Tuesday south of Brownton.

The Sheriff’s Office says 38-year-old Kim Wentzell Jr. of Winthrop died at the scene.

The other driver, 19-year-old Hiram Rettmann of Stewart, was airlifted to HCMC in Minneapolis and later died.

There were no other occupants.

The crash happened in the area of 30th Street and Tagus Avenue.
