Fatal Sibley County Crash

A Lakeville man died in a crash in Sibley County Monday morning east of Gaylord.

The Sheriff’s Office says 48-year-old Kristopher Anderson died at the scene. His passenger, 42-year-old Jennifer Hoffart of South Dakota, was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

Authorities say Anderson was driving a Nissan Xterra eastbound on Highway 19 while flat towing a Chevy S10 when the vehicle lost control causing both vehicles to leave the roadway and roll near 441st Avenue.

Anderson was not wearing a seat belt.

The crash happened just before 11am.
