Fatal Stearns County Stabbing

A man is dead and another is in custody following a stabbing in Cold Spring Saturday evening.

Just after 8:30 p.m., officers were called to the 400 block of 8th Avenue North on a report of an assault. Upon arrival, they located an adult male suffering from an apparent stab wound.

Law enforcement and medical personnel attempted lifesaving measures, but the man was pronounced dead at the scene. His name has not been released.

A male at the residence was taken into custody and is being held at the Stearns County Jail pending formal charges.
