FDA Provides Clarity on Cyclosporiasis

(ABC News/Washington, D.C.) Some clarity from federal officials regarding cyclosporiasis.

The Federal Drug Administration is now saying that while a false positive was reported, lettuce from Taylor Farms remains the focus of the investigation.

Walmart now pulling its market-side brand of lettuce off shelves. Jack in the Box is removing lettuce from locations in Texas, Oklahoma, and Louisiana. And food suppliers Cisco and U.S. Foods are halting deliveries of the affected lettuce.

Symptoms from the parasitic illness can last for weeks and are especially concerning for people with other medical conditions.
