First Round in the books at 3M Open

(Blaine, MN) — P-G-A Tour rookie Jacob Bridgeman is sitting atop the leaderboard after the opening round of the 3-M Open at T-P-C Twin Cities in Blaine. Bridgeman shot an eight-under-par-63 and leads the field by one stroke. Mackenzie Hughes is sitting in second place at seven-under-par. Patrick Rodgers, Martin Trainer and Andrew Novak are in a three-way tie for third place at six under. Former Gopher golfer Ben Warian of Stillwater is tied for 46th at two-under-par after firing a five-under on the front nine. Former Gopher Erik van Rooyen is 141st at four-over. Fargo’s Tom Hoge is one-under, while Spring Lake Park graduate Troy Merritt is one-over. Defending champ Lee Hodges is tied for 121st at two over par.
