Empowering Communities, Celebrating Minnesota Locally

Fish House Removal Deadline is Here for Southern 2/3 of MN

(Learfield News/St. Paul, MN) — Minnesota anglers need to remove their fish houses by 11:59 tonight (Mon) from lakes in the southern two-thirds of the state.

Many people got their shelters off the ice last week when temperatures reached the 50s.

The D-N-R is also reminding everyone to pick up debris from the area where they were ice fishing.

Fish houses could be confiscated by conservation officers if the owners don’t get them off the ice.

Anglers in the northern third of Minnesota have two more weeks to remove their shelters.
