FORECASTERS PREPPING FOR POSSIBLE SEVERE WEATHER TUESDAY

Forecasters say a line of severe thunderstorms could hit a large part of Minnesota beginning Tuesday.  Meteorologist Bill Borghoff says a very strong low-pressure system will track from southwest Minnesota up to Lake Superior.  He says anywhere southeast of that has a pretty good shot at seeing severe weather Tuesday afternoon and Tuesday evening.  Threats will include large hail, damaging winds and even some tornadoes.  He says the storm system will be packing a lot of precipitation and parts of Minnesota could see significant rains over the next couple of days.  Borghoff says flooding is also possible along the Minnesota River and its tributaries.
