Former Gopher qualifies for Olympics
(Knoxville, TN) — Former Golden Gopher star diver Sarah Bacon qualified to take part in the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris after winning the Three-Meter Synchronized Diving event with partner Kassidy Cook at the U-S Olympic Trials in Knoxville, Tennessee, yesterday. Bacon will also try to qualify individually when she takes part in Thursday’s three-meter board with the finals on Saturday in Knoxville. Bacon was named the 2021 Big Ten Athlete of the Year after winning N-C-A-A national championships in both the one-meter and three-meter diving events. The Olympics are set for July 26th through August 11th in Paris.
