Atlanta Falcon Rookie Jack Strand Showed He Can Play at Highest Level

Former Minnesota State Moorhead quarterback Jack Strand delivered a standout performance as the Atlanta Falcons defeated the Indianapolis Colts 34-to-6 Saturday.

The undrafted rookie completed 12 of 17 passes for 212 yards and a touchdown. Strand connected with Cash Jones for a 13-yard score before adding a 16-yard touchdown run.

The Falcons scored on five of their first six possessions and snapped an eight-game preseason losing streak.

Strand wore number 18 and finished with a quarterback rating of 132-point-5. He played four seasons at MSUM, throwing for more than 13-thousand yards and 126 touchdowns.
