Former Pilot From Minnetonka Guilty of Tax Crimes
(Minneapolis, MN) — A former commercial airline pilot from Minnetonka has been found guilty of tax evasion, filing false tax returns, failing to file tax returns, and making false claims.
In a press release from U.S. Attorney Andrew Luger, trial evidence showed 72-year-old Charles Sorenson retired in 2016 and filed fraudulent tax returns for 2015 and 2016 and failed to file returns for the next three years.
Overall, Sorenson owes the U.S. over $300,000.
A sentencing hearing has not yet been scheduled.
