Former Senator Justin Eichorn Sentenced to 16 Months
Former Minnesota state Senator Justin Eichorn has been sentenced to 16 months in federal prison following an undercover child-solicitation sting.
The 42-year-old Grand Rapids Republican pleaded guilty to attempted possession of child sexual-abuse materials. Authorities say Eichorn requested an explicit photograph from someone he believed was a 17-year-old girl and later drove to Bloomington to meet her. The person was an undercover officer.
Eichorn will serve five years of supervised release and must pay 10-thousand dollars into a federal fund supporting abuse victims. He resigned from the Minnesota Senate after his March 2025 arrest.
