Fountain Fix for Library Square in Hutchinson

A fix for the fountain at Library Square in Hutchinson has been approved after it was knocked out of commission months ago, due to vandals.

The city council Tuesday approved a resolution for the project that officials say will repair the fountain and make it more secure by moving the pump out of the fountain and into a dedicated pump house.

Community Improvement funds will be used for the repair and upgrade with the estimated cost at about $60,000.

Officials say completion of the project more than likely will be in the spring.
