Fox leads Gophers to win over Cleveland State

(Minneapolis, MN) — Golden Gopher reserve forward Parker Fox of Mahtomedi came off the bench to scored 18 points to help Minnesota beat Cleveland State last night at Williams Arena 58-47. Dawson Garcia of Savage and Brennan Rigsby added 13 points apiece, while freshman Isaac Asuma of Cherry scored a career high ten points. The Gophers led by two points at halftime thanks to a 30-plus foot buzzer-beating three-pointer from Fox. Minnesota scored the game’s final eight points and forced the visiting Vikings to miss their final eight shot attempts. Cleveland State fell to 3-3 on the season. The Gopher win pushes Minnesota to 4-1 on the season. The Gophers will next host Central Michigan on Monday night at 7 P-M at The Barn.
