GAS PRICES SPIKE, OVER FOUR DOLLARS A GALLON AT SOME NEW ULM LOCATIONS
Gas prices are on the rise. As of Wednesday, the statewide average for a gallon of regular gas is $3.93, a 13-cent jump in 24 hours, almost 30 cents more than a week ago and just over 50 cents more than a month ago. Triple-A says the national average is $4.23 a gallon, the highest it’s been in four years. Since the war in Iran started at the end of February, the cost of gas is up 40% on average across the U.S. A couple of stations in New Ulm are now over $4 a gallon at $4.09 a gallon. Other reporting stations in New Ulm are reading $3.89 a gallon.
